Anchorage Museum of History and Art

 Located in downtown Anchorage on the corner of 7th Avenue and C Street, the Anchorage Museum of History and Art is Alaska's largest museum. The museum presents numerous exhibits each year that display Alaska's history, Native culture and prehistoric times. The museum is committed to being a community-based center that promotes local growth. Admission fees start at $6 and hours of operation vary by season (open seven days a week in summer, closed Mondays and Tuesdays in winter).
